Jeremiah 6 (e)

The book of Jeremiah – chapter by chapter and verse by verse

Jeremiah 6:18-21 KJV (4 verses)

18 Therefore hear, ye nations, and know, O congregation, what is among them.

The watchmen are among the nations, trying to tell people to wake up. Very difficult when people don’t want to listen. A thankless job, actually.

19 Hear, O earth: behold, I will bring evil upon this people, even the fruit of their thoughts, because they have not hearkened unto my words, nor to my law, but rejected it.

People reject God’s Law, and go with the traditions of men. People think the law was done away with – but the only thing that was nailed to the cross with our Savior Jesus were the blood ordinances.

We no longer sacrifice blood to God, because Christ, by His stripes and His blood, became the one and only sacrifice.

However, God’s law is still in effect.

20 To what purpose cometh there to me incense from Sheba, and the sweet cane from a far country? your burnt offerings are not acceptable, nor your sacrifices sweet unto me.

Because our sacrifices were unacceptable to God, Jesus came and died to be our sacrifice!

21 Therefore thus saith the LORD, Behold, I will lay stumblingblocks before this people, and the fathers and the sons together shall fall upon them; the neighbour and his friend shall perish.

The main stumbling block is Christ Himself, because people will accept the false one. They don’t realize there are two, the false and the Real.

The real Christ comes after the false one, at the 7th trump. The antichrist comes here at the 6th trump, he is going to fool so many who don’t know. The antichrist will look good. Don’t be deceived! Investigate!

Jeremiah 6 (d)

The book of Jeremiah – chapter by chapter and verse by verse

Jeremiah 6:13-17 KJV (5 verses)

13 For from the least of them even unto the greatest of them every one is given to covetousness; and from the prophet even unto the priest every one dealeth falsely.

Yet Revelation 4 – last verse – God created us for His pleasure – not for covetousness, falseness or untruths. (Rev. 4:11 – “Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created”.) KJV

14 They have healed also the hurt of the daughter of my people slightly, saying, Peace, peace; when there is no peace.

The untruths, the falseness – people are lulled into believing all is well. All is not well! But we can be ready for the next step and never have to worry if we stay smart in God’s word.

15 Were they ashamed when they had committed abomination? nay, they were not at all ashamed, neither could they blush: therefore they shall fall among them that fall: at the time that I visit them they shall be cast down, saith the LORD.

We need to repent! We must not think we are Holy when we are not.

We are Holy, though, when we repent, when we are not deceived, when we do what God wants every day (not always perfectly! But He notes our good attempts, and our repenting of sinful ways.)

Every day is a new walk, a new beginning, and we mustn’t backslide, but move forward with our repenting. Get better, every day.

16 Thus saith the LORD, Stand ye in the ways, and see, and ask for the old paths, where is the good way, and walk therein, and ye shall find rest for your souls. But they said, We will not walk therein.

This is so incredibly real!! Many won’t walk in the “old paths”, (1) because they don’t know what those paths are; and (2) because they refuse to learn about them. Don’t do that.

And yet, straight from the mouth of God (“Thus saith the LORD”), that is where we find rest for our souls. Sad!

Many think they can’t figure it all out… but that isn’t true! It takes a little study, a little work, and finding the peace and strength that is in the word of God is in everybody’s reach!

17 Also I set watchmen over you, saying, Hearken to the sound of the trumpet. But they said, We will not hearken.

He has set watchmen over us – those who try to warn us. But if you put your fingers in your ears you are saying, “We will not hearken”. Listen to the watchmen that God has provided you. Listen! Then read it for yourself!

God does not leave us wanting – have you read it?

Jeremiah 6 (c)

The book of Jeremiah – chapter by chapter and verse by verse

Jeremiah 6:10-12 KJV (3 verses)

10 To whom shall I speak, and give warning, that they may hear? behold, their ear is uncircumcised, and they cannot hearken: behold, the word of the LORD is unto them a reproach; they have no delight in it.

We don’t want to hear about it… “don’t talk religion to me”.

If we want God’s blessings, we need to listen to what He has told us through His word.

Have delight in His word!

11 Therefore I am full of the fury of the LORD; I am weary with holding in: I will pour it out upon the children abroad, and upon the assembly of young men together: for even the husband with the wife shall be taken, the aged with him that is full of days.

This deception will be going everywhere, onto most people of this day of every age, from children to old people.

Who will we worship? The false one that shows up first, or the true Christ when He arrives at the Second Advent? It’s likely coming soon, we need to be ready. Get yourself ready! Find out the truth!

12 And their houses shall be turned unto others, with their fields and wives together: for I will stretch out my hand upon the inhabitants of the land, saith the LORD.

If you live recklessly, without responsibility to God, you will lose all you have. “…saith the LORD”.

Jeremiah 6 (b)

The book of Jeremiah – chapter by chapter and verse by verse

Jeremiah 6:6-9 KJV (4 verses)

6 For thus hath the LORD of hosts said, Hew ye down trees, and cast a mount against Jerusalem: this is the city to be visited; she is wholly oppression in the midst of her.

God is saying, “at the end I’m going to visit Jerusalem”.

Jerusalem is who we need to watch, and God always tells us that. God loves Jerusalem – He wed her – (Ezekiel 16).

7 As a fountain casteth out her waters, so she casteth out her wickedness: violence and spoil is heard in her; before me continually is grief and wounds.

8 Be thou instructed, O Jerusalem, lest my soul depart from thee; lest I make thee desolate, a land not inhabited.

God says – “Learn! Be instructed!” And if we won’t, He will remove us from Himself and make us desolate.

Uninhabited by His truth, love and mercy. L

See what He says here, using Jerusalem as the example that applies to everyone, all through the ages.

9 Thus saith the LORD of hosts, They shall throughly glean the remnant of Israel as a vine: turn back thine hand as a grapegatherer into the baskets.

The 10 lost tribes of Israel are now mostly located in Christian Europe, Canada and the Americas. They were scattered, called the lost tribes. But God has not lost them, He knows who they are.

The other two tribes are Judah and Benjamin – who combine together to make “the Jews”. Judah was the physical seed line of Jesus – we mostly know where they are in the world, and they know who they are.

However, the Judah line also contains the Kenites – not in truth – but they worked their way into the tribe of Judah by being scribes and carrying wood for fires for the Hebrew priests. They are actually offspring of Cain infiltrating and often helping Satan.

The Kenites have the same offer of salvation as everyone, through the blood of Jesus.

Jeremiah 6 (a)

The book of Jeremiah – chapter by chapter and verse by verse

Jeremiah 6:1-5 KJV (5 verses)

Jeremiah chapter 6 –starts out about the antichrist….

6:1 O ye children of Benjamin, gather yourselves to flee out of the midst of Jerusalem, and blow the trumpet in Tekoa, and set up a sign of fire in Beth-haccerem: for evil appeareth out of the north, and great destruction.

A warning about the antichrist coming in end times.

2 I have likened the daughter of Zion to a comely and delicate woman.

They are not prepared. They are as helpless as a delicate little girl. They don’t know who the enemy is.

We give the enemy money through our ignorance. We pay the Middle East to give us gasoline, that leaves us defenseless while they use our money against us.

3 The shepherds with their flocks shall come unto her; they shall pitch their tents against her round about; they shall feed every one in his place.

These are the evil shepherds, they will try to take all that we have.

The reason they are defenseless is they have no idea where the enemy is coming from or who the enemy is. Why? Because they do not read this letter that God sent us.

There are factions working hard against the whole idea of Christianity. We need to be smarter than them.

4 Prepare ye war against her; arise, and let us go up at noon. Woe unto us! for the day goeth away, for the shadows of the evening are stretched out.

The end of day is coming, and the day of vengeance will come. The shadows are stretched out, we see them, we know that the kind of evil we currently have in the world isn’t going to go away, but get worse. God is NOT okay with it, He is still on the throne, and He is going to destroy it.

5 Arise, and let us go by night, and let us destroy her palaces.

The evil rulers destroying us – they slip in by night. They take over the agency – you don’t have a say in it. They appoint who they want – they put this over this, this over this, and this over this, and the people have no say. Does this sound familiar in the USA right now? It does! They are destroying our palaces, our government.

What to do? Wake up and prepare for the evil day that is coming. It's not that big a deal if you're ready - God will arm you with the best gospel armor ever if you are willing to fight... get ready!

You don't go into war unprepared, you train, you learn the best way to protect yourself and how to fight for your side. We need to get prepared. The time is short - and that's a good thing, in the long run. Wouldn't matter, though - it's just the way it is, the way God has planned it. Prepare! Ask Him to help you prepare. All the directions are in His word, and He is ready to guide you.

Rev. 22:20: He which testifieth these things saith, Surely I come quickly. Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus. KJV

Jeremiah 5 (d)

The book of Jeremiah – chapter by chapter and verse by verse

Jeremiah 5:22-31 KJV (9 verses)

Jeremiah chapter 5 – God wants us to Investigate!

23 But this people hath a revolting and a rebellious heart; they are revolted and gone.

Gone into idolatry! Because they don’t know and refuse to learn.

That attitude is demonstrated around us every day of our lives! We watch in amazement – but are we sure we are not contributing to the problem? Do your children hear God’s word in your home on a regular basis? Do you and they understand God’s nature? God certainly does not hide His Nature from us…. If we only take the time to read His word.

24 Neither say they in their heart, Let us now fear the LORD our God, that giveth rain, both the former and the latter, in his season: he reserveth unto us the appointed weeks of the harvest.

The 50 days between Passover and Pentecost are the reserved days of the harvest here.

And think of it also spiritually, there is a harvest coming, we must pray that there will be laborers sent into the harvest as Jesus told us to. (Luke 10:2).

(Before He instructed us to pray the Lord’s Prayer, Jesus instructed us to pray that laborers will be sent into God’s harvest.)

25 Your iniquities have turned away these things, and your sins have withholden good things from you.

You missed the harvest because you can’t see the truth. Sad! That’s forever…. And you’re not going?

26 For among my people are found wicked men: they lay wait, as he that setteth snares; they set a trap, they catch men.

Satan and his wicked followers would love to trap you. You can avoid it simply by knowing what the word of God says.

27 As a cage is full of birds, so are their houses full of deceit: therefore they are become great, and waxen rich.

28 They are waxen fat, they shine: yea, they overpass the deeds of the wicked: they judge not the cause, the cause of the fatherless, yet they prosper; and the right of the needy do they not judge.

29 Shall I not visit for these things? saith the LORD: shall not my soul be avenged on such a nation as this?

The time of vengeance has not come yet, but it will, as Jesus tells us. See Isaiah 61:1-2. When we hear Jesus speaking in the temple in Luke 4:17-21, we see that He leaves out the day of vengeance from the Isaiah 61 verses that He is quoting.

This is because when Jesus came to earth the first time it was to give hope and salvation, but when He returns at the Second Advent it will be to pour out the cup of wrath that God gave Jesus prior to the crucifixion. He returns with vengeance – to pour out that cup of wrath on those who deserve it.

30 A wonderful and horrible thing is committed in the land;

31 The prophets prophesy falsely, and the priests bear rule by their means; and my people love to have it so: and what will ye do in the end thereof?

We need to investigate! God sent us this letter to keep us out of trouble – if we ignore it, we’re just stupid and deserve the end that we get. Harsh words, but true.

Jeremiah 5 (c)

The book of Jeremiah – chapter by chapter and verse by verse

Jeremiah 5:20-22 KJV

Jeremiah chapter 5 – God wants us to Investigate!

20 Declare this in the house of Jacob, and publish it in Judah, saying,

(the house of Jacob - means everyone, all 12 tribes, and their descendants. All. Everyone. Not just "the Jews, we need to realize who is who in God's word.)

21 Hear now this, O foolish people, and without understanding; which have eyes, and see not; which have ears, and hear not:

Many cannot understand what God is saying to us. One thing to understand is that God is a jealous God. He loves us but we don’t care. Just like so many have been hurt by lovers who don’t really care – many are hurting God because they don’t take the time to care for Him.

God’s word makes this even clearer in the words He gave to the prophet Nahum:

Nahum 1:2 KJV – “God is jealous, and the LORD revengeth; the LORD revengeth,” (two times for emphasis) “and is furious; the LORD will take vengeance on his adversaries, and he reserves wrath for his enemies.”

Then in Nahum 1:3 we read that He “will not at all acquit the wicked”.

Sooooo many Christians have their heads deep in the sand, preaching that it’s all okay, Jesus loves us, lalalalala… please, please – READ GOD’S WORD!! He loves us – but only when we’re following His true ways! We can’t make up our own ways.

Did Jesus address this problem? Yes He did, Mark 7:9 – “And he said unto them, Full well ye reject the commandment of God, that ye may keep your own tradition.” KJV

Was Jesus speaking ONLY to the Pharisees and Saducees? No, just as in every verse of the Bible, there are onion skin layers – and the lessons, everything that is included there – is directed to US, to YOU! God wrote you a letter – are you going to read it?

22 Fear ye not me? saith the LORD: will ye not tremble at my presence, which have placed the sand for the bound of the sea by a perpetual decree, that it cannot pass it: and though the waves thereof toss themselves, yet can they not prevail; though they roar, yet can they not pass over it?

So many have absolutely no respect for God, despite all He does to protect us. Amazing things, like controlling the oceans of the world for our benefit… and much more. We just need to look around.

(This post – only 3 verses from the amazing book of Jeremiah, “he who God has appointed”. God says He knew Jeremiah before Jeremiah was in the womb of his mother…. Do you think God pre-knew YOU, as well? I think that if it worked that way for Jeremiah, it works that way for everyone. Think of it… God sent you here at this time and in this place – why? It just happened, random? No, no. God sent you here for a purpose at this time and in this place. Perhaps your purpose isn’t as high as Jeremiah’s… but there is a reason. Look into it! God will definitely reveal His purpose for you once you begin asking Him and start looking for what He has said about it. To you! And when you find out? Well, wow. That’s pretty much all I can say.) J
