Jeremiah 8 (b)

The book of Jeremiah – chapter by chapter and verse by verse

Jeremiah 8:3-4 KJV (2 verses)

3 And death shall be chosen rather than life by all the residue of them that remain of this evil family, which remain in all the places whither I have driven them, saith the LORD of hosts.

God scattered the 10 tribes of Israel (we don’t know who they are now, but God does). When they wake up as is written in Revelation 9 and realize they have been worshipping the false one, they pray for the mountains to fall on them because they are so ashamed. They will wish for death instead of life.

4 Moreover thou shalt say unto them, Thus saith the LORD; Shall they fall, and not arise? shall he turn away, and not return?

If a man falls, doesn’t he try to get up? He doesn’t just lay there.

Read Jeremiah 7:23 – it doesn’t say “I will be your God and ye shall be my people that it may be well unto you”… it says, “Obey my voice”. And it says, “walk ye in all the ways I have commanded you, so that THEN it may be well with you. There’s a requirement. Do it!

You can’t do that unless you know what His voice has said, and you can’t walk in the paths that He has commanded unless you read about them – all of them.

It’s easy – but it’s not automatic. There’s a little homework to do. J

Jeremiah 8 (a)

The book of Jeremiah – chapter by chapter and verse by verse

Jeremiah 8:1-2 KJV (2 verses)

1 At that time, saith the LORD, they shall bring out the bones of the kings of Judah, and the bones of his princes, and the bones of the priests, and the bones of the prophets, and the bones of the inhabitants of Jerusalem, out of their graves:

“At that time” – God is talking about the final generation and what will happen. He is speaking of the enemies of Israel (and Christianity) at the end time. Satan is moving in.

God’s wrath is going to come due in the fig tree generation, that’s the final generation to live on this earth. It had to happen sometime – if you’re here now, you may have an important role to play! Turn to God and ask Him what you should be doing to prepare, to sow seeds.

Remember, though, you can’t sow seeds (of wisdom) that you don’t have, so hurry! Open your Bible and pray, and find out what God wants you to do.

2 And they shall spread them before the sun, and the moon, and all the host of heaven, whom they have loved, and whom they have served, and after whom they have walked, and whom they have sought, and whom they have worshipped: they shall not be gathered, nor be buried; they shall be for dung upon the face of the earth.

Even though the enemy will flatter you to get you to follow, they care nothing about you. God will save your soul, however, IF you have obeyed and walked in His ways. Read Jeremiah 7:23 to find out what God wants from you. Wonderful.

(Jer 7:23 – “But this thing commanded I them, saying, Obey my voice, and I will be your God, and ye shall be my people: and walk ye in all the ways that I have commanded you, that it may be well unto you.”)

Jeremiah 7 (I)

The book of Jeremiah – chapter by chapter and verse by verse

Jeremiah 7:30-34 KJV (5 verses)

30 For the children of Judah have done evil in my sight, saith the LORD: they have set their abominations in the house which is called by my name, to pollute it.

31 And they have built the high places of Tophet, which is in the valley of the son of Hinnom, to burn their sons and their daughters in the fire; which I commanded them not, neither came it into my heart.

Tophet is “the place of burning”, and Hinnom is basically hell.

God says, “it didn’t even enter my mind to have you burn your children as sacrifices.”

He says, “you are building your own hell.”

32 Therefore, behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that it shall no more be called Tophet, nor the valley of the son of Hinnom, but the valley of slaughter: for they shall bury in Tophet, till there be no place.

It won’t be called burning anymore, but it will be called slaughter.

The deception is so rampant that people are spiritually dead, because the truth is not in them.

We have to be very careful not to take up this deception in our lives.

33 And the carcases of this people shall be meat for the fowls of the heaven, and for the beasts of the earth; and none shall fray them away.

Zechariah 14 gives you a gross but accurate picture of this.

34 Then will I cause to cease from the cities of Judah, and from the streets of Jerusalem, the voice of mirth, and the voice of gladness, the voice of the bridegroom, and the voice of the bride: for the land shall be desolate.

This is when the spiritual death comes to pass. Who are the murderers? Lying preachers and pastors who are not teaching the word of God.

How do we worship God? By hearing His word…not by making cakes and rolling eggs to the queen of heaven (see verse 18).

There is a worse death than the death of this flesh, that is spiritual death. But people drift away from the true word of God and they will be meat for all that is cruel and evil, and their souls will cease to exist.

God warns us! Let’s listen and hear, and do what He wants us to. The time is growing short…

                                                       ~~~~~~~
(Next is Jeremiah chapter 8 – God starts that chapter out with “At that time”. That time He is referring to is the fig tree generation, the final generation that will be on earth before Jesus returns to end this world and take us all to the Lord’s Day. The time every generation who has lived on earth has been waiting for. Look forward to it! Have His Word in your mouth and in your heart!)
Jeremiah 7 (h)
The book of Jeremiah – chapter by chapter and verse by verse
Jeremiah 7:27-29 KJV (3 verses)
27 Therefore thou shalt speak all these words unto them; but they will not hearken to thee: thou shalt also call unto them; but they will not answer thee.
The people’s ears are not equipped to handle the real truth… they want to hear about “the sweet by and by”, not the real truth.
They want to be rocked to sleep – but God wants us to WORK, not sleep!
28 But thou shalt say unto them, This is a nation that obeyeth not the voice of the LORD their God, nor receiveth correction: truth is perished, and is cut off from their mouth.
If you will allow it, some will remove the word “God” from your vocabulary completely. Don’t let them. Stand strong.
29 Cut off thine hair, O Jerusalem, and cast it away, and take up a lamentation on high places; for the LORD hath rejected and forsaken the generation of his wrath.
The generation of His wrath is the fig tree generation, the final generation.
Where it says “O Jerusalem” in italics, that tells us that is not the word that was there. It should be the daughters of Jerusalem as He speaks of them in Ezekiel 13, where He says “you sew pillows to cover my outreaching arms…”. They want to hide the truth of His love from anybody who they can fool.
Jeremiah 7 (g)
The book of Jeremiah – chapter by chapter and verse by verse
Jeremiah 7:23-26 KJV (4 verses)
23 But this thing commanded I them, saying, Obey my voice, and I will be your God, and ye shall be my people: and walk ye in all the ways that I have commanded you, that it may be well unto you.
You can’t walk in His ways if you don’t understand them! We must know what the whole word of God says.
If I could put that comment up in neon lights on a billboard, I would.
When we walk in His ways, then it will be well with us. That’s a promise from God.
I underlined this verse in hope that some will realize how important it is to know how to obey God, and get this blessing of wellness from Him!
24 But they hearkened not, nor inclined their ear, but walked in the counsels and in the imagination of their evil heart, and went backward, and not forward.
The counsels they walk in are the counsels of the scribes, not God’s true word.
“This is so holy, I like to hear it”, many say, although it is false and spewed forth by false teachers who don’t care a whit about your soul, only their paychecks and retirement plans.
We must incline our ears to God’s word, and go forward, not backward!
25 Since the day that your fathers came forth out of the land of Egypt unto this day I have even sent unto you all my servants the prophets, daily rising up early and sending them:
God keeps sending us His servants the prophets (Jeremiah is one of them), God rises up early and sends them to us.
26 Yet they hearkened not unto me, nor inclined their ear, but hardened their neck: they did worse than their fathers.
But we don’t listen! We harden our hearts and trust in false preachers, over and over again, when we can read and learn God’s true word, His true desires…in the letter He sent us.
Jeremiah 7 (f)
The book of Jeremiah – chapter by chapter and verse by verse
Jeremiah 7:20-22 KJV (3 verses)
20 Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, mine anger and my fury shall be poured out upon this place, upon man, and upon beast, and upon the trees of the field, and upon the fruit of the ground; and it shall burn, and shall not be quenched.
This is future, obviously this has not happened. There is a time illustrated here – do you know when this will come to pass? 2 Peter 3 lets us know that the first earth age was destroyed by water (not Noah’s flood as that did not destroy the whole earth) and in verse 10 we see that this current earth age in which we are living will be destroyed by fire.
If we are in God’s word and not listening to false preachers who say we are going to “fly away”, we won’t have to worry, we won’t even be singed by that fire.
21 Thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; Put your burnt offerings unto your sacrifices, and eat flesh.
God says, “you keep it, I don’t want it. You can eat those burnt offerings yourself”.
He wants us to love and obey Him! He commanded us to “obey my voice and I will be your God”…see verse 23.
22 For I spake not unto your fathers, nor commanded them in the day that I brought them out of the land of Egypt, concerning burnt offerings or sacrifices:
From Hosea 6:6, paraphrased – “I don’t want your burnt offerings, I want you to love me and obey me. I want you to know about me!”
Hosea 6:6 – KJV – “For I desired mercy, and not sacrifice; and the KNOWLEDGE of God more than burnt offerings.”
Jeremiah 7 (e)
The book of Jeremiah – chapter by chapter and verse by verse
Jeremiah 7:16-19 KJV (3 verses)
16 Therefore pray not thou for this people, neither lift up cry nor prayer for them, neither make intercession to me: for I will not hear thee.
The people who are so stubborn and evil, they try to destroy God’s name in our country, and God doesn’t even want to hear us pray for them because He is going to destroy them. Don’t fall in with them, don’t befriend them, don’t even wish them “Godspeed”…
17 Seest thou not what they do in the cities of Judah and in the streets of Jerusalem?
18 The children gather wood, and the fathers kindle the fire, and the women knead their dough, to make cakes to the queen of heaven, and to pour out drink offerings unto other gods, that they may provoke me to anger.
This is the way we celebrate Easter, and it’s very wrong. We don’t understand the whole story and we should. We should be celebrating Jesus’ resurrection at Passover.
He became our Passover, so when little children carry eggs around at Easter time, they are participating in a fertility rite to the goddess Eshtare (Ashtertoth in the Old Testament).
God hates it. He hates that we don’t understand what we are doing, because we don’t read and understand His word. This thing is not hidden from us, if only we read and understand the letter He sent us.
19 Do they provoke me to anger? saith the LORD: do they not provoke themselves to the confusion of their own faces?
They are completely confused. Honestly, we need to understand that when we celebrate “Easter”, we provoke HIM to anger, and we provoke ourselves (and our children) to confusion.
PLEASE, don’t trust what I am saying here! Read your Bible! The word “Easter” was mis-translated (perhaps on purpose by those minions who work for Satan)… but there is plenty of information in the Bible, and in the Strong’s Concordance, that explain the confusion!
Don’t be okay with your own ignorance! I didn’t like changing my way of thinking about that holiday, either… but once I saw the truth, I couldn’t continue celebrating a pagan holiday any longer.
God doesn’t wink at ignorance. Don’t stay that way.
Jeremiah 7 (d)
The book of Jeremiah – chapter by chapter and verse by verse
Jeremiah 7:12-15 KJV (4 verses)
12 But go ye now unto my place which was in Shiloh, where I set my name at the first, and see what I did to it for the wickedness of my people Israel.
Shiloh – the place of rest. What He did to it was to allow the very covenant of the Tabernacle to be stolen by the Philistines – because of Israel’s sins.
Think of how this could apply to your life, if you continue not to care about Him… He could take away every chance you have at redemption!!
All you need to do is turn and tell God you love Him, and ask for His help in constructing your life correctly.
13 And now, because ye have done all these works, saith the LORD, and I spake unto you, rising up early and speaking, but ye heard not; and I called you, but ye answered not;
Our Father calls us in many ways, nudges us in many ways… we must listen.
If we do, He has wonderful things for us. Otherwise…
14 Therefore will I do unto this house, which is called by my name, wherein ye trust, and unto the place which I gave to you and to your fathers, as I have done to Shiloh.
Don’t trust the place, “the house”, more than you trust God, or He will leave you.
15 And I will cast you out of my sight, as I have cast out all your brethren, even the whole seed of Ephraim.
That’s the 10 northern tribes of Israel, see Jer. 3:8 – God divorced them and scattered them throughout the world. They are “the lost tribes”… but God hasn’t lost them. Still, He expects them to step up, especially once they realize who they are.
Jeremiah 7 (c)
The book of Jeremiah – chapter by chapter and verse by verse
Jeremiah 7:8-11 KJV (4 verses)
8 Behold, ye trust in lying words, that cannot profit.
There is no way you will get ahead by trusting in lying words – God will make sure of it.
You’re supposed to have God’s word as your ministry.
9 Will ye steal, murder, and commit adultery, and swear falsely, and burn incense unto Baal, and walk after other gods whom ye know not;
10 And come and stand before me in this house, which is called by my name, and say, We are delivered to do all these abominations?
We can’t think that our sins are okay, and try to tell God we are delivered anyway.
We must repent. Not always easy. But, we need to get tough.
11 Is this house, which is called by my name, become a den of robbers in your eyes? Behold, even I have seen it, saith the LORD.
False worship, and God sees it. He hates it. We can change and do the right things. Again, it’s not always easy. BUT… repentance and endurance makes us strong… and better people. The kind of people God wants in His ministry. J
Jeremiah 7 (b)
The book of Jeremiah – chapter by chapter and verse by verse
Jeremiah 7:5-7 KJV (3 verses)
5 For if ye throughly amend your ways and your doings; if ye throughly execute judgment between a man and his neighbour;
Important to notice the “if” and “Then” in these three verses. “If” we do these things, “Then” we will get the blessing, for ever and ever.
6 If ye oppress not the stranger, the fatherless, and the widow, and shed not innocent blood in this place, neither walk after other gods to your hurt:
“other gods” – the false Christ, as well as the rapture – not true. If you worship the first one saying he is Jesus who arrives on the earth at the end time, you will be lost. He’s good… the master of deceit…you need to be sure of what the real word of God says.
Not so you can “fly away”, but as Paul states in Ephesians 6:13, “to stand”.
7 Then will I cause you to dwell in this place, in the land that I gave to your fathers, for ever and ever.
Our Heavenly Father made an eternal covenant with this place…
He will keep His promise to bring us into that land, “if”.
Jeremiah 7 (a)
The book of Jeremiah – chapter by chapter and verse by verse
Jeremiah 7:1-4 KJV (4 verses)
1 The word that came to Jeremiah from the LORD, saying,
This word is coming directly from our Father… this is about His feelings if we misuse His house of worship.
2 Stand in the gate of the LORD's house, and proclaim there this word, and say, Hear the word of the LORD, all ye of Judah, that enter in at these gates to worship the LORD.
(the underline was added by me). God wants us to hear HIS word – not the thoughts of pastor or priest, but God’s own word as He gave it to us. Chapter by chapter and verse by verse.
3 Thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel, Amend your ways and your doings, and I will cause you to dwell in this place.
Listen to His word and amend your ways, and you will be invited into His house.
4 Trust ye not in lying words, saying, The temple of the LORD, The temple of the LORD, The temple of the LORD, are these.
Just because some preacher says something is holy doesn’t make it so. We are supposed to go to the Lord’s house TO HEAR THE WORD OF THE LORD!
I DIGRESS (Labor of Love)
I’m going to digress away from writing the “Jeremiah – chapter by chapter and verse by verse” posts. I often laugh at myself for going forward with those Jeremiah posts – because so many aren’t interested in the Old Testament or the prophets, despite my understanding that we must know what the prophets said and how it applies to our current life and time.
Also, Jeremiah has 52 chapters – and I’m just getting ready to begin posting in chapter 7. Oh well, as I mentioned to somebody – I know God wants me to do the Jeremiah postings, even if it’s like a future famous opera singer practicing music scales that nobody but the instructor ever hears. So I will continue with Jeremiah – chapter by chapter and verse by verse, but I really felt led to “digress” today.
Okay – I’ll start with this – there is an important Labor of Love outlined to us in God’s word. The labor of love is concerning our brothers and sisters in Christ. We have to do what we can to try to feed them (spiritually). We must make sure that to whatever extent we can that the flock, the sheep, are fed.
(For many, it is our children who we get to teach... however, if they aren't listening, please don't give up. There are many others who want to know and understand. But I will say - parents of young children - teach them the Bible before you teach them anything else! It's the most important thing for them (and you) to know. Let them read it to you once they can read! I missed this boat with my kids and I am daily sorrowful over it.)
Jesus said three times to Peter, “feed my sheep”.
The labor of love also extends to protecting the flock – from the wolves, the false teachers, that abound today.
We can help to pull as many as possible from the lake of fire. We must try to help nourish the flock with the true word of God.
I’m going to point out something that is clear in the Bible if you pay attention. Let’s start with the last verse of Matthew 19, Jesus is speaking:
Matthew 19:30 - But many that are first shall be last; and the last shall be first.
My notes on this verse say, “If you aren’t aware that there are three earth ages, you may not understand this verse. See Matthew 20.
Some who were chosen in the first earth age, the age before there was human flesh living upon this earth, are here now to serve God at end times because they were called to do so – the “first shall be last”. They are some of those who stood against Satan during "the Fall", and stood with God.
Let’s go to Matthew 20:1-6: 1 For the kingdom of heaven is like unto a man that is an householder, which went out early in the morning to hire labourers into his vineyard.
Jesus is the householder. He went out early, as early as the first earth age. He found many of you willing to work for him.
There are some alive now who God chose long ago – see Ephesians 1:4 – some were chosen before the foundations of the world! Pretty exciting. In Ephesians 1:5 we see that that God the Father “predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ”…
2 And when he had agreed with the labourers for a penny a day, he sent them into his vineyard.
Now we move to the second earth age (current age) – the vineyard, of course, is the world.
3 And he went out about the third hour, and saw others standing idle in the marketplace,
There are many standing idle today, not producing fruit for our Heavenly Father. Some don’t care, others don’t know what they’re supposed to do, they haven’t been taught.
4 And said unto them; Go ye also into the vineyard, and whatsoever is right I will give you. And they went their way.
We find out in the next verses that the same amount is given to these as to those that started later than 9am. See verse 5.
5 Again he went out about the sixth and ninth hour, and did likewise.
6 And about the eleventh hour he went out, and found others standing idle, and saith unto them, Why stand ye here all the day idle?
Jesus says to these folks, “why are you standing here idle? You’ve been given a destiny, a purpose, get to work!”
These are some verses that encourage us to learn and know, so that we can share God’s true word with the flock. The other comment I will make here is that we know the rest of the story – some were grumbling because they’d started at 9am and Jesus was giving those who started later the same penny for their work. We should never grumble against God! We all have our work to do, we just need to do it.
And, we must realize, the Kingdom of Heaven all pays the same – it pays joy and peace and many good things, no matter how long or short a time we’ve worked for Jesus. These people had agreed to receive salvation as their wages.
My notes go on to ask myself… “What are you doing standing around idle, Jackie? Get to work!” J
Jeremiah 6 (h)
The book of Jeremiah – chapter by chapter and verse by verse
Jeremiah 6:26-30 KJV (4 verses)
26 O daughter of my people, gird thee with sackcloth, and wallow thyself in ashes: make thee mourning, as for an only son, most bitter lamentation: for the spoiler shall suddenly come upon us.
The “only son” is Jesus Christ, “the spoiler” is Satan as antichrist.
27 I have set thee for a tower and a fortress among my people, that thou mayest know and try their way.
IMPORTANT word “try” here… the word is “to assay”, like you assay gold or silver. You burn it, test it, over a very hot fire. The real metal goes to the middle, the slag, or junk, boils out over the sides of the pot.
28 They are all grievous revolters, walking with slanders: they are brass and iron; they are all corrupters.
29 The bellows are burned, the lead is consumed of the fire; the founder melteth in vain: for the wicked are not plucked away.
Slag is good for nothing, useless.
30 Reprobate silver shall men call them, because the LORD hath rejected them.
“Reprobate” means rejected. Being rejected by God would be the worst thing that could ever happen to you.
The spoiler (verse 26) is coming first. You are going to put the gospel armour on and defeat him spiritually, with the Word of God, if you have the true Word of God.
Have you read it?
Jeremiah 6 (g)
The book of Jeremiah – chapter by chapter and verse by verse
Jeremiah 6:24-26 KJV (3 verses)
24 We have heard the fame thereof: our hands wax feeble: anguish hath taken hold of us, and pain, as of a woman in travail.
This woman in labor – the birth of a new age. The prophecies come closer together like labor pains, until the birth happens.
We look around today in anguish at what is happening! The prophecies coming true. It is what will finally bring Jesus back.
25 Go not forth into the field, nor walk by the way; for the sword of the enemy and fear is on every side.
26 O daughter of my people, gird thee with sackcloth, and wallow thyself in ashes: make thee mourning, as for an only son, most bitter lamentation: for the spoiler shall suddenly come upon us.
The “only son” is Jesus Christ, “the spoiler” is Satan as antichrist.
The difference now is that we won’t gird ourselves in sackcloth and ashes, but as stated in Ephesians 6, we will gird ourselves with the whole armour of the gospel.
Jeremiah 6 (f)
The book of Jeremiah – chapter by chapter and verse by verse
Jeremiah 6:22-23 KJV (2 verses)
22 Thus saith the LORD, Behold, a people cometh from the north country, and a great nation shall be raised from the sides of the earth.
23 They shall lay hold on bow and spear; they are cruel, and have no mercy; their voice roareth like the sea; and they ride upon horses, set in array as men for war against thee, O daughter of Zion.
The last battles of Hamengog and Armageddon will be fought by God/Jesus, not by us.
The battle that we are fighting now is what God mentioned in verse 14, “those that say peace, peace, peace, when there is no peace”. It is the false peace that we are fighting now.
And fight it we must…although many will reject us for doing so.
That’s okay, because some won’t, and that’s what is important.
(Matthew 13:57 – “And they were offended in him. But Jesus said unto them, A prophet is not without honour, save in his own country, and in his own house.” KJV)
Jeremiah 6 (e)
The book of Jeremiah – chapter by chapter and verse by verse
Jeremiah 6:18-21 KJV (4 verses)
18 Therefore hear, ye nations, and know, O congregation, what is among them.
The watchmen are among the nations, trying to tell people to wake up. Very difficult when people don’t want to listen. A thankless job, actually.
19 Hear, O earth: behold, I will bring evil upon this people, even the fruit of their thoughts, because they have not hearkened unto my words, nor to my law, but rejected it.
People reject God’s Law, and go with the traditions of men. People think the law was done away with – but the only thing that was nailed to the cross with our Savior Jesus were the blood ordinances.
We no longer sacrifice blood to God, because Christ, by His stripes and His blood, became the one and only sacrifice.
However, God’s law is still in effect.
20 To what purpose cometh there to me incense from Sheba, and the sweet cane from a far country? your burnt offerings are not acceptable, nor your sacrifices sweet unto me.
Because our sacrifices were unacceptable to God, Jesus came and died to be our sacrifice!
21 Therefore thus saith the LORD, Behold, I will lay stumblingblocks before this people, and the fathers and the sons together shall fall upon them; the neighbour and his friend shall perish.
The main stumbling block is Christ Himself, because people will accept the false one. They don’t realize there are two, the false and the Real.
The real Christ comes after the false one, at the 7th trump. The antichrist comes here at the 6th trump, he is going to fool so many who don’t know. The antichrist will look good. Don’t be deceived! Investigate!
Jeremiah 6 (d)
The book of Jeremiah – chapter by chapter and verse by verse
Jeremiah 6:13-17 KJV (5 verses)
13 For from the least of them even unto the greatest of them every one is given to covetousness; and from the prophet even unto the priest every one dealeth falsely.
Yet Revelation 4 – last verse – God created us for His pleasure – not for covetousness, falseness or untruths. (Rev. 4:11 – “Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created”.) KJV
14 They have healed also the hurt of the daughter of my people slightly, saying, Peace, peace; when there is no peace.
The untruths, the falseness – people are lulled into believing all is well. All is not well! But we can be ready for the next step and never have to worry if we stay smart in God’s word.
15 Were they ashamed when they had committed abomination? nay, they were not at all ashamed, neither could they blush: therefore they shall fall among them that fall: at the time that I visit them they shall be cast down, saith the LORD.
We need to repent! We must not think we are Holy when we are not.
We are Holy, though, when we repent, when we are not deceived, when we do what God wants every day (not always perfectly! But He notes our good attempts, and our repenting of sinful ways.)
Every day is a new walk, a new beginning, and we mustn’t backslide, but move forward with our repenting. Get better, every day.
16 Thus saith the LORD, Stand ye in the ways, and see, and ask for the old paths, where is the good way, and walk therein, and ye shall find rest for your souls. But they said, We will not walk therein.
This is so incredibly real!! Many won’t walk in the “old paths”, (1) because they don’t know what those paths are; and (2) because they refuse to learn about them. Don’t do that.
And yet, straight from the mouth of God (“Thus saith the LORD”), that is where we find rest for our souls. Sad!
Many think they can’t figure it all out… but that isn’t true! It takes a little study, a little work, and finding the peace and strength that is in the word of God is in everybody’s reach!
17 Also I set watchmen over you, saying, Hearken to the sound of the trumpet. But they said, We will not hearken.
He has set watchmen over us – those who try to warn us. But if you put your fingers in your ears you are saying, “We will not hearken”. Listen to the watchmen that God has provided you. Listen! Then read it for yourself!
God does not leave us wanting – have you read it?
Jeremiah 6 (c)
The book of Jeremiah – chapter by chapter and verse by verse
Jeremiah 6:10-12 KJV (3 verses)
10 To whom shall I speak, and give warning, that they may hear? behold, their ear is uncircumcised, and they cannot hearken: behold, the word of the LORD is unto them a reproach; they have no delight in it.
We don’t want to hear about it… “don’t talk religion to me”.
If we want God’s blessings, we need to listen to what He has told us through His word.
Have delight in His word!
11 Therefore I am full of the fury of the LORD; I am weary with holding in: I will pour it out upon the children abroad, and upon the assembly of young men together: for even the husband with the wife shall be taken, the aged with him that is full of days.
This deception will be going everywhere, onto most people of this day of every age, from children to old people.
Who will we worship? The false one that shows up first, or the true Christ when He arrives at the Second Advent? It’s likely coming soon, we need to be ready. Get yourself ready! Find out the truth!
12 And their houses shall be turned unto others, with their fields and wives together: for I will stretch out my hand upon the inhabitants of the land, saith the LORD.
If you live recklessly, without responsibility to God, you will lose all you have. “…saith the LORD”.
Jeremiah 6 (b)
The book of Jeremiah – chapter by chapter and verse by verse
Jeremiah 6:6-9 KJV (4 verses)
6 For thus hath the LORD of hosts said, Hew ye down trees, and cast a mount against Jerusalem: this is the city to be visited; she is wholly oppression in the midst of her.
God is saying, “at the end I’m going to visit Jerusalem”.
Jerusalem is who we need to watch, and God always tells us that. God loves Jerusalem – He wed her – (Ezekiel 16).
7 As a fountain casteth out her waters, so she casteth out her wickedness: violence and spoil is heard in her; before me continually is grief and wounds.
8 Be thou instructed, O Jerusalem, lest my soul depart from thee; lest I make thee desolate, a land not inhabited.
God says – “Learn! Be instructed!” And if we won’t, He will remove us from Himself and make us desolate.
Uninhabited by His truth, love and mercy. L
See what He says here, using Jerusalem as the example that applies to everyone, all through the ages.
9 Thus saith the LORD of hosts, They shall throughly glean the remnant of Israel as a vine: turn back thine hand as a grapegatherer into the baskets.
The 10 lost tribes of Israel are now mostly located in Christian Europe, Canada and the Americas. They were scattered, called the lost tribes. But God has not lost them, He knows who they are.
The other two tribes are Judah and Benjamin – who combine together to make “the Jews”. Judah was the physical seed line of Jesus – we mostly know where they are in the world, and they know who they are.
However, the Judah line also contains the Kenites – not in truth – but they worked their way into the tribe of Judah by being scribes and carrying wood for fires for the Hebrew priests. They are actually offspring of Cain infiltrating and often helping Satan.
The Kenites have the same offer of salvation as everyone, through the blood of Jesus.
Jeremiah 6 (a)
The book of Jeremiah – chapter by chapter and verse by verse
Jeremiah 6:1-5 KJV (5 verses)
Jeremiah chapter 6 –starts out about the antichrist….
6:1 O ye children of Benjamin, gather yourselves to flee out of the midst of Jerusalem, and blow the trumpet in Tekoa, and set up a sign of fire in Beth-haccerem: for evil appeareth out of the north, and great destruction.
A warning about the antichrist coming in end times.
2 I have likened the daughter of Zion to a comely and delicate woman.
They are not prepared. They are as helpless as a delicate little girl. They don’t know who the enemy is.
We give the enemy money through our ignorance. We pay the Middle East to give us gasoline, that leaves us defenseless while they use our money against us.
3 The shepherds with their flocks shall come unto her; they shall pitch their tents against her round about; they shall feed every one in his place.
These are the evil shepherds, they will try to take all that we have.
The reason they are defenseless is they have no idea where the enemy is coming from or who the enemy is. Why? Because they do not read this letter that God sent us.
There are factions working hard against the whole idea of Christianity. We need to be smarter than them.
4 Prepare ye war against her; arise, and let us go up at noon. Woe unto us! for the day goeth away, for the shadows of the evening are stretched out.
The end of day is coming, and the day of vengeance will come. The shadows are stretched out, we see them, we know that the kind of evil we currently have in the world isn’t going to go away, but get worse. God is NOT okay with it, He is still on the throne, and He is going to destroy it.
5 Arise, and let us go by night, and let us destroy her palaces.
The evil rulers destroying us – they slip in by night. They take over the agency – you don’t have a say in it. They appoint who they want – they put this over this, this over this, and this over this, and the people have no say. Does this sound familiar in the USA right now? It does! They are destroying our palaces, our government.
What to do? Wake up and prepare for the evil day that is coming. It's not that big a deal if you're ready - God will arm you with the best gospel armor ever if you are willing to fight... get ready!
You don't go into war unprepared, you train, you learn the best way to protect yourself and how to fight for your side. We need to get prepared. The time is short - and that's a good thing, in the long run. Wouldn't matter, though - it's just the way it is, the way God has planned it. Prepare! Ask Him to help you prepare. All the directions are in His word, and He is ready to guide you.
Rev. 22:20: He which testifieth these things saith, Surely I come quickly. Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus. KJV
Jeremiah 5 (d)
The book of Jeremiah – chapter by chapter and verse by verse
Jeremiah 5:22-31 KJV (9 verses)
Jeremiah chapter 5 – God wants us to Investigate!
23 But this people hath a revolting and a rebellious heart; they are revolted and gone.
Gone into idolatry! Because they don’t know and refuse to learn.
That attitude is demonstrated around us every day of our lives! We watch in amazement – but are we sure we are not contributing to the problem? Do your children hear God’s word in your home on a regular basis? Do you and they understand God’s nature? God certainly does not hide His Nature from us…. If we only take the time to read His word.
24 Neither say they in their heart, Let us now fear the LORD our God, that giveth rain, both the former and the latter, in his season: he reserveth unto us the appointed weeks of the harvest.
The 50 days between Passover and Pentecost are the reserved days of the harvest here.
And think of it also spiritually, there is a harvest coming, we must pray that there will be laborers sent into the harvest as Jesus told us to. (Luke 10:2).
(Before He instructed us to pray the Lord’s Prayer, Jesus instructed us to pray that laborers will be sent into God’s harvest.)
25 Your iniquities have turned away these things, and your sins have withholden good things from you.
You missed the harvest because you can’t see the truth. Sad! That’s forever…. And you’re not going?
26 For among my people are found wicked men: they lay wait, as he that setteth snares; they set a trap, they catch men.
Satan and his wicked followers would love to trap you. You can avoid it simply by knowing what the word of God says.
27 As a cage is full of birds, so are their houses full of deceit: therefore they are become great, and waxen rich.
28 They are waxen fat, they shine: yea, they overpass the deeds of the wicked: they judge not the cause, the cause of the fatherless, yet they prosper; and the right of the needy do they not judge.
29 Shall I not visit for these things? saith the LORD: shall not my soul be avenged on such a nation as this?
The time of vengeance has not come yet, but it will, as Jesus tells us. See Isaiah 61:1-2. When we hear Jesus speaking in the temple in Luke 4:17-21, we see that He leaves out the day of vengeance from the Isaiah 61 verses that He is quoting.
This is because when Jesus came to earth the first time it was to give hope and salvation, but when He returns at the Second Advent it will be to pour out the cup of wrath that God gave Jesus prior to the crucifixion. He returns with vengeance – to pour out that cup of wrath on those who deserve it.
30 A wonderful and horrible thing is committed in the land;
31 The prophets prophesy falsely, and the priests bear rule by their means; and my people love to have it so: and what will ye do in the end thereof?
We need to investigate! God sent us this letter to keep us out of trouble – if we ignore it, we’re just stupid and deserve the end that we get. Harsh words, but true.
